Fonctionnement - A simple gyroscope

Keep the bottle steady between your legs.

Wrap the thread around the 3 cm part of the straw

Place the tip of the spinning top on the bottle.

Hold the spinning top vertical by holding the top three nuts.

Rotate the spinning top by pulling on the string.

Gently tilt the bottle and you will notice that the top does not follow the movement but always stays in it's vertical position.
